CARC is planning on decommissioning the /scratch2 file system during our next maintenance period in March 2024. Any data that has not been backed up or transferred before then will be lost.
Data currently stored in /scratch2 can be migrated to either /scratch1 or /project. For instructions on transferring your data, please see CARC’s data transfer user guides. Due to technical issues, we recommend that anyone running long jobs (2+ days) transfer their data to /scratch1 as soon as possible.
As a reminder, the /scratch file systems are intended only for temporary and intermediate data storage, not for long-term storage. The majority of your data should be stored in your /project directory.
If you have any questions or concerns, please submit a help ticket and we will assist you.
